In October 2013 our Explorers took part in a conservation weekend in the Peak District National Park, volunteering with the Park Ranger service. Staying overnight in the Marsh Farm Volunteers Centre, during the day we carried out conservation projects around the nearby Tittesworth Reservoir country park.
We have two further conservation weekends booked in 2014.
In July Scout Groups from all over Barnsley took part in a district camp at Silverwood. Over a glorious weekend, beavers, cubs, scouts and explorers took part in a range of activities. On the Saturday, we worked our way around 4 activity zones featuring Skills, Adventure, Activity, and Global challenges. On the Sunday, we took part in a massive It's-a-Knockout style competition featuring massive inflatables and lots of water.
Each year, at the start of the summer holidays, we run a week-long camp. Last year we went to Beaudesert, a campsite in Cannock Chase, an area of outstanding natural beauty in the midlands. During the week we did various activities, including archery, crate-stacking (pictured above), climbing and geocaching. We also enjoyed days out at Warwick Castle and Alton Towers.
The Gantry Grid System splits each module row, such as showcase, into a maximum of 6 modules, and their widths can be individually determined.
In addition, you can also force a number of module positions for a particular row, which will infuse blank grid positions in, to suit your desired layout. Furthermore, the layouts can be configured on a per-menu-item basis.
